LESSONS:
HELPING YOU SUCCEED
Learn audition skills and how to "practice auditioning" effectively, enabling your ability to audition at a high level consistently.
Students that have worked with Tom have won auditions in more than 50 various positions in orchestras and military bands.
This success rate is attributable to the efficacy and efficiency of his teaching methods continually refined over the past 30 years. Over the years, audition lectures have been given more broadly to all musicians, not just timpanists and percussionists. This proprietary method of teaching entails the close observation of musicianship while learning audition skills, with a focus on how to “practice auditioning” effectively, and overall practice efficiency. This method consistently produces tangible results in a very short period of time for all musicians, enabling their ability to audition at a high level both musically and consistently.

To schedule a lesson, simply email us at admin@freerpercussion.com.
Please include the following information:
Your name, email address, phone number and what instrument you play.
What the focus of your lesson should be, i.e. orchestral auditions, college auditions, practice efficiency etc.
Any musician is welcome to apply.
Please send us an email with “lesson inquiry” in the subject line and we will reply in order to schedule with you as quickly as possible. Online sessions are done by providing a video for analysis (20 minute maximum) or a zoom meeting for audition coaching (non percussionist). If you submit video, you will receive a detailed written analysis, followed by a mutually scheduled zoom session to discuss details and answer questions in person. This can also include a bit of live demonstration during the zoom session if you wish.
We realize there are a multitude of lesson options to choose from online. Whether online or in person (when current COVID regulations permit), working directly together in a customized way, is something that cannot be replicated.
