The Duff 9 is essentially the same wood end as the Duff 8 but also has a dual end which has a small felt covered ball. Perfect for people who like a flip stick more than a 50/50 choice such as the DSWF model. The felt end is in a general hardness. Laser engraved, hand sanded, hand pitched/weighed and six layers of finish. Recommended for Don Juan, Mahler 2, Carter March, Enigma Variations etc. Extremely hard, flipped to general on the other end.
Tonkin shaft with convex felt core and extra hard felt cloth cover. Great staccato mallet. Also known as “Freer greens” these have now found their way into hundreds of timpani players cases and have become a standard for nearly 1000 customers.
Soft German felt general stick with 1mm base felt on 1.5” x ½” cork core. Just hard enough for minimal articulation and soft enough to still roll with. A perfect stick for Beethoven 5 transition to the fourth movement. Also great for Strauss Burlesque. Head size : 1.5” x ½” core
