Many people use the hard side of their BDF1 for many rhythmic passages and have asked for a specific mallet like this which is harder than the general and identical in sound to the hard side of BDF1. So here it is. Exact same felt as BDF1 only in purple instead of green so it’s easy to identify. Very clean clear sound and perfect for anything rhythmic as well as grace note parts like Carmina Burana.
New this year is a hybrid snare stick which consists of a hollow carbon fiber tube for the center portion of the stick, joined with a hornwood™ front shoulder and butt end, and a black nylon tip. Shorter and slightly lighter than SDH1, with a black nylon tip that is 50% smaller. Extremely articulate with incredibly enhanced rebound characteristics.
