Bamboo shaft, extra hard staccato wood core with hard felt cloth cover
The core shape, hard cloth/felt covering, and high-quality bamboo shaft give you a staccato mallet with a full yet tight and clean sound. Great for a wide variety of things from Haydn all the way to Prokofiev…try these on Prokofiev 6. Even excellent on percussion for tom toms and bongos.

Stacked leather washers custom die cut for consistency, 1 1/4" diameter. Very articulate bright, clean and clear. Extremely durable and long lasting. Also excellent for percussion chamber music, tom toms, bongos etc.
Tonkin felt large cartwheel
Soft German felt thick covering soft stick with 1mm base felt on 1.5” x ½” felt core. This is basically the Tonkin version of my BCS stick. Has more weight in the front and even more bottom to the sound. Excellent roller and a must have for any Tchaikovsky, Mahler or Bruckner symphonies. Recommended for the intro to Wagner Funeral Music and Strauss Death and Transfiguration as well.
Soft German felt general stick with 1mm base felt on 1.5” x ½” cork core. Just hard enough for minimal articulation and soft enough to still roll with. A perfect stick for Beethoven 5 transition to the fourth movement. Also great for Strauss Burlesque.

Hickory shaft, convex felt core extra hard felt cloth cover, staccato mallet. Also known as “Freer greens” these have now found their way into hundreds of timpani players cases and have become a standard for nearly 1000 customers.
Hard German 1mm felt with no base felt on 1.5” x 3/8” convex felt core. Clear articulate stick with a lot of fundamental and more bottom to the sound. A pointed sound that retains it’s warmth and pitch at all times. Excellent choice for many sections of Beethoven 9, Sibelius Symphonies, Schumann and Schubert Symphonies as well as Bartok and other 20th century repertoire. Excellent in the percussion section or ensemble for tom tom and other drum parts.

1" diameter wood ball with tight chamois cover. Chamois is always carefully selected for matched thickness and evenness. Warmer than #1 and still very bright and clear. Perfect for Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven and much more. Also excellent for percussion instruments and chamber music.
