Hickory shaft, convex felt core extra hard felt cloth cover, staccato mallet. Also known as “Freer greens” these have now found their way into hundreds of timpani players cases and have become a standard for nearly 1000 customers.
The hickory shafts are also triple selected for highest possible pitch and weight. Precisely pitch paired and weight matched. An extreme version of a Cloyd Duff #2, the hard-felt core and covering of the Freer US2H make it a great rhythm stick for Beethoven 1 Scherzo, Bartok Music for Strings Percussion and Celeste, Stravinsky, or any other music where you want an articulate and clean sound.
